Japanese School Mathematics

In Japan they concentrate on just a few topics, in depth, instead of lots of topics discussed over and over in a shallow way.

Of course research mathematics works this way; even though a grad student has to learn algebra, analysis, etc., they only really learn a few topics in great depth.
